Nieuwe Luxor theater

Opvallend design aan de Maas

Het Nieuwe Luxor Theater is een prominente verschijning aan de voet van de Erasmusbrug en dat komt vooral door het opvallende ontwerp. Het theater werd ontworpen door Peter Wilson en werd aanvankelijk gebouwd ter vervanging van het Oude Luxor Theater in 2001, maar tegenwoordig worden beide theaters gebruikt voor voorstellingen. In het het nieuwe Luxor Theater zijn de zitplaatsen opgedeeld in groepen met in totaal meer dan 1500 stoelen en dat maakt het theater het grootste van Rotterdam. Vlak voor het podium vind je de parterre en stalles en boven bevinden zich twee balkons en de loges. Peter Wilson, was built in 2001. It was planned that this brand new theatre would eventually replace the Old Luxor Theatre within Rotterdam city centre, but at present both locations are still used for theatre shows. Within the New Luxor Theatre there are three different seating areas containing more than 1500 seats, which makes this theatre the biggest in Rotterdam. Just in front of the stage you can find the stalls and above the stalls there are two balconies.

Programma Nieuwe Luxor Theater

The New Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam is used for performing arts, comedy, concerts, plays, dance, ballet, opera but also for big musical productions like Les Miserables, Cats, Titanic or Evita that are than shown during a longer period of time. Check the Rotterdam Agenda for shows coming up.

Uit eten voor de voorstelling

Voor de voorstelling kun je genieten van het prachtige uitzicht vanuit de Maasfoyer op de Rotterdamse Erasmusbrug en de Rijnhaven. Op zonnige dagen kun je wat drinken op het dakterras bovenop het gebouw. In het theater-restaurant Leipzig kun je goed dineren voor de voostelling. Er zijn diverse arrangementen te boeken.
