Zalmhaven Tower

The tallest building in the Benelux

Presently, the 165 metre-tall Maas Tower in Rotterdam is the tallest building in the Netherlands, but in 2020 it will be superseded by the impressive Zalmhaven Tower. On top of this 190 metre tall residential tower there will be a 25-metre mast, creating a total height of 215 metres! Most skyscrapers can be found on Wilhelmina Pier in Rotterdam, but the impressive Zalmhaven Tower is located at the historic Veerhaven area, close to the city centre bank of the river Maas and the Erasmus bridge.

Design Zalmhaven Tower Rotterdam

The Zalmhaven Tower Rotterdam was designed by Diederik Dam who was also responsible for the architecture of the Maas Tower in Rotterdam. The Zalmhaven Tower is part of a new housing estate with 475 homes divided over three towers, of which two smaller towers of 70 meters tall. The construction starts end 2017 and the completion will be by the end of 2020. The Zalmhaven Tower contains 260 luxury apartments. On the ground floor there will be shops and offices and the entrance to the apartments.

As a visitor you have access to a panorama platform at a dazzling height of 185 meters with a fantastic view over the city of Rotterdam. If the sky is clear you’ll be able to look as far as the city of Dordrecht, Hoek van Holland Beach, de Maasvlakte Port area and The Hague. As a tourist attraction in Rotterdam, the Zalmhaven Tower will be a tough competitor for the Euromast panorma tower!
