Although Van Oldenbarneveltstraat is not a very known shopping area in Rotterdam, the shops are definitely worth a visit. Like at the Meent shopping area, you won’t find any of the big chains here, but only small-scale and trendy boutiques and restaurants. For the big stores you should go to the Lijnbaan and Koopgoot shopping areas. Van Oldenbarneveltstraat is one of the most exclusive shopping streets in Rotterdam and is accesible from Rotterdam city centre via Karel Doormanstraat.
On your left hand side you will find DorienDavid’s with wedding, party and evening wear. On the right side of Van Oldenbarneveltstraat you can find Filippa K for fashionable basic clothing. Don’t forget to have a look at Roush, a New York style ladies fashion shop (Van Oldenbarneveltstraat 93).
Now cross Mauritsstraat. On your right hand side you will find the Wendela van Dijk (van Oldenbarneveltstraat 105) boutique with a collection of women’s designer labels and SK Edelsmid sells jewelry with a plain and simple but elegant design. SAS/Kookai mainly offers exclusive KOOKAI clothing collection. Fashion boutique Mostert & Van Leeuwen (Van Oldenbarneveltstraat 129) has an exclusive collection of designer labels and Skins Cosmetics is the right shop for real beauty fans.
Now cross the street and walk back again in the direction of Karel Doormanstraat. First you will find Noppies (Mauritsweg 37) with trendy maternity, baby and kids clothing. ‘s Zomers Bloemen (Van Oldenbarneveltstraat 144) sells exuberant flowers and bouquets.
If it’s time for a shopping break: Alice in Cakeland has delicious sweets and cupcakes. At the end of Van Oldenbarneveltstraat, lunch and winebar Nostra serves a great high tea or a ‘high wine’ or have lunch/dinner at the intimate winebar l’Ouest. Don’t miss Mangiare (Van Oldenbarneveltstraat 150), a sweet and small restaurant with daily changing dishes.
