Kids Marina is a great water attraction for children. Your kids sail in their own electric boat through a miniature version of the port of Rotterdam! They can choose from many types of model boats, which makes the boat tour a really cool experience.
The Kids Marina boats are models of real ships which are actually located in the port of Rotterdam. There are small versions of a fire-boat, a police -boat, a cargo-ship, a ferry and a tugboat. Will there ever be a mini- Spido boat as well? Kids feel like a real captain on their own boat when they sail along the shoppers on the Hoogstraat shopping street. During the summer vacation, the Kids Marina Rotterdam is located at Leuvehaven, next to the Maritime Museum Rotterdam.
A boat trip takes 20 minutes and meanwhile parents can have a drink at the wooden terrace, which is overlooking the water. At this terrace, there’s also a little playground for kids who are still too young to sail their own boat. Children over 10 are allowed to sail their own boat wearing a life vest.
As Kids Marina Rotterdam is located within the shopping areas Meent and Hoogstraat, it will never be a problem anymore to convince your kids to go shopping in Rotterdam…
The Kids Marina Rotterdam is located in the city centre at Grotekerkplein, opposite the historical St Laurence Church between the shopping streets Meent and Hoogstraat. From Rotterdam Central Station, get there by metro or train and stop at Blaak. Get to Kids Marina Maritime Museum by metro and stop at Beurs.
You can park in the Kiphof Public Parking or in the surrounding street Meent, but you'll have to pay.
